Perfect Tuning is a Mathematical Impossibility

What does the 5-way switch do?
Got the guitar yesterday. It is amazing! The three-way switch selects between humbucking or each coil soloed. I learned that the Evertune bridge gives you a choice between being perfectly in tune and unable to even do bends, or being in tune but still being able to bend. I am not sure if there would be much of a market for a bass Evertune bridge, or a bass with true temperament frets, but after playing this thing for a couple hours, I can say for sure that if such a bass were available, I would buy one. It is completely uncanny that you can play any chord anywhere on the neck and have all the notes be perfectly in tune with each other. I see this as the ultimate secret weapon for recording rhythm guitar.
 
Can't say i've ever had this problem when resting my fingers on the back side of the fret, and the string can be fretted much more positively without problems this way. But if it works for you that is fine.
I just suggest that people should play through a tuner and understand how their technique can effect the pitch.
Just because it has frets doesn't mean it's in tune.

This on the other hand seems idiotic too me as it's only function seems to be to let you push the strings more out of tune.
Thanks, but I've been playing for a while now. Back side of the fret? That's where I fret. She's fretting on the fret. Part of the finger dampens the vibration of the string, which makes a buzz. Make sense?

It does make sense. I assumed from your previous comment you meant between the frets.
On the fret is not a single position but can be rolled all the way from the front side of the fret, which dampens the note completely presumably(without actually trying it), to perfectly on the top of the fret, which can lead to buzz as you mentioned, to rolled onto the back side of the fret, where I find it doesn't.
If I misunderstood you I apologise and maybe someone else finds my description above useful.

Clearly many people also fret between the frets, and I am a nobody, so take my comments as food for thought rather than any sort of right or wrong type statement.
