Just keep the area clean and put some antiseptic on it and you'll more than likely be fine. Maybe even use a butterfly on it as a preventative measure. I've put a gash in my balls a time or 2 and they're still both there, so I'm thinking you'll be fine.

I don't know a single girl that is 18-26 that doesn't shave. And I don't know a single girl who likes "hairy" men.

The 70's are over. If you just wanna see two balls of course hair go at it, fine by me. But it' s much more fun when you can see whats goin' on.

Hah, I know a few. I don't even know what the majority of women do, but a little effort is certainly appreciated. I don't shave myself, but I trim. I think that's the preferred way for dudes - totally hairless would be a little feminine.

If it's just skin, I'd treat it as any other wound. Clean it properly with some good disinfectant on regular basis, and keep an eye on it. If it gets badly infected, go visit a doc, I'm sure it's not a first case of genital area cuts they've seen.

I think common wisdom says disinfect and clean. If it's wide enough that it can't stay "closed" by itself, you might want to go get points (not stitches, just the sticky thing that will keep both sides of the cut together), and that means going to see the doc.

You can also use the manly option of crazy-gluing both sides. It's what I did while hiking the 100 wild miles in the Appalachian Trail, but I guess that wouldn't be my first option now that I'm near civilized health care :hmm:

Well....now that I'm past the trauma and shock....:o
....I've been treating it by cleaning it frequently with hydrogen peroxide, and a little neosporin on an improvised bandage arrangement, and what looked like scary gore yesterday, is barely visible today....whew!
Will keep up the regime, but thanks to all who offered advice and/or laughs!!

It was just another gash, people on here are into having extra strings, so why not extra . . . :hiding:

In all fairness, it is a comical injury, sorry :p

It reminds me of the last time I was playing cards with my mates. While extremelly drunk one of them decided to shave himself completelly downstairs and came back from the toilet and proudly showed us all, silly bugger had also cut himself quite a few times, then he listened to our suggestion to go pour vodka on it, that was funny :D
