Here's my #1 4 string for work. It's an early 2000s Japanese Geddy Lee with upgraded smoke chrome hardware, Wilde Humbuckers, and a John East J Retro preamp. Thing cooks.

When purchased, it came with a white guard and I sourced a black pearl one even before the hardware, electronic, and finish work ended.

I just received a red tort guard today. I'm soliciting opinions on which looks best.

I voted "black", which is my go-to (see below), but I cannot help but wonder how it would look with a simulated carbon fiber. 🤔

I cannot say when, but one day, I suddenly realized how much I like this look…go fig!

Interesting option. Might be cool with the smoke chrome.
Black...but with cream pickup covers. Or tort, also with the cream covers.
That's an interesting take too. A late 70's retro look.
