i bought one the new Peterson Stroboclip HD, and so far it's working great on my Upright!! The ad say it goes down to 16Hz, and it's tuning my low E without any problem. It seems to be smaller, it's not distracting at all being dark, and I love the screen. It actually does seem to lock on better. Winner so far!!

How does it work on a gig with noise all around you?

It did fine, but I have never had an issue with this, even with my older Peterson. I'm liking it more as I go along. To be honest, I was not expecting to, I figured it was mostly hype. It's way better than I expected. It's real good on the low E.

Where do you mount it on the double bass?

I attach it to the bridge, E side. It's not too tight.
