Anyone here using the Stoborack? I'm almost positve I'm going to get one but I'd love to hear some opinions before I go and buy it just for the LPD factor. That's "Lights Per Dollar". Put it in a rack mountable chassis and I'm all over it! Here's a link for those who don't know what I'm talking about:

I went with the strobo stomp 2 model instead because I wanted to move to a smaller rack enclosure (eventually). I can't really comment on the strobo rack except to say that it definitely has a coolness factor. Not that sure that it is worth the price though. The tuning system is very easy to use, although it is a bit hard to get absolutely perfect tuning. (I just stop when the bars start looking glitchy and shake up and down in relatively the same spot. Probably has to do with my intonation, but I am too lazy to re-intonate right now since I will be replacing my bridge soon...) :D

I ended up with the Strobostomp 2 as well, because I didn't want to be forced to always have my head in a (esp. bigger than needed) rack and I use effects anyway. IF I were to buy a rack tuner, it would be either this or the korg 2000dtr - but even if I got the korg, I'd want to have some other peterson around for intonation and studio use (being more in tune never heard anybody).

Price? $359 typically..

Mutt; yeah, the coolness factor is what's driving me right now. I've bought more expensive stuff for dumber reasons! It's always just kind of nice to "justify" any purchase.

Dragon; I already have a DTR2000 which I like just fine, but need to replace the Behringer that I took a chance on (generally fine but won't grab a low B for anything) and thought why not? I'm not gonna bring any of my real stobe tuners on the road. As far as racks go, I'm draggin' (no pun intended!) around a large rack with a pair of Crown xt4000i's for a Bag End 2x18e + 4x10x stack anyhow and this is just replacing an existing tuner in the rack along with a bunch of effects.

I wanted to get one, then I saw the price tag. Expensive. I have a stroboflip and it works great. I only use it for doing setups, or tuning before we record. I have a TU-2 for all of my stage/band practice tuning needs.

I would imagine the rack tuner would be just as awesome! They really make a good tuner.
