A while ago, I followed the suggestion of another TB'er and put nylon tapewounds on my fretless. They're great. I like how they feel and sound.
What I don't like is how they look on my bass. They're black, and while black strings look great on a lot of basses, I've never liked the effect on my Fender Jazz with lots of chrome, including pickup and bridge covers.
So now that it's time to change the strings anyway, does anyone know of clear or natural nylon tape wounds? All the ones I've seen are black.
