PH-3 and unity volume

I own a PH-3, but don't use one anymore. Actual volume doesn't change much, but I do remember noticing a large portion of your low end drops out when engaged, so if anything you lose volume when using one. Better bet would be to get the Boss Bass Flanger instead, if you don't have a problem trading phase for flange.

I only ever used the PH-3 for a part in a song where there was clean guitar parts.

I've owned one for a couple years. It's fine for unity gain. Sean's right about the low end loss, but if you spend some time with it you can find good settings that don't drop anything.

I think it's an excellent pedal that gets overlooked a lot.

Yeah, that setting is the main reason why I'm interested in buying one. I heard some demos on the wiki section and I thought the pedal sounded very lush and kept a decent amount of low end, but I don't know if the recording equipment or a post EQ section might have contributed to that.

I had a stage of going through alot of phasers, the PH3 had some really great functions on it, but unfortunately could never find one that kept the lows enough.

The Maxon Rotary Phaser Is excellent and in my opinion the HBE Psilocybe is even more excelent (unfortunately I got robbed in a TB trade for a PedaltrainIIsc - remember kids, even bass players can be d*cks)
