Phil Jones Double Four vs Bass cub

Hi folks,

I'm kind of interested in both of this amps and would like to ask if anyone could give any feedback of how they are compared volume wise. Are it's just a slight difference or will the bass cub give significant more volume than the double four? Some people claims that the double four is just for home use and someones are using it at small gigs as well. Do you think the double four could hold up against a soft drummer, a pianist on a church gig not demanding that much volume? Or is even that out of the question?

For me the Double4 is not loud enough against an acoustic kit. unless the drummer is playing very lightly with brushes and you can put the amp in a corner, up against a wall.

I used one where the drummer played a cajon or electric kit and guitarist used an acoustic.

Don't let the 70w figure fool you, they're only as loud as two 4" drivers will allow.

BUT... they do sound incredible. even the low B. I only sold it as I needed the cash. I've never used another small amp that sounded as good.
