god i love the sound of the licks he plays behind stage during that snippet. An awesome sounding bass.
sucks that they couldn't find a way to package the Sunshine Daydream DVD in with the vinyl set...considering they're asking $60 for four freakin' records while the CDs go for $34 with the DVD

I got to hear some of it at David Glasser's studio. It sounded utterly amazing (I'm thinking it was Terrapin).
I'm probably not going to spring for the whole package, but once individual albums become available Aoxomoxoa and Anthem are definitely on the list.

I've already ripped my vinyls into 24/96 'HD'fs. Waiting for that damn Pono player to hit tha skreets...
I have been smashing 77 GD in my head and shedding Phil lately and it's bleeding into my playing a lot on original stuff too. Ah the melodies.

Did anyone else catch Robert Hunter on this last string of shows? I caught him in Red Bank and it was phenomenal! So special, Great Song Selection, and he looked a lot like Jerry.

Dayum, I just listened to the snippet of King Solomon's Marbles. That sound is yummy.

Got it Saturday. Played it a lot yesterday jamming to the Bertha album. Lovin it. So much easier to get around on than my Pbass.

By the way, last week on Billboard's Top 200 The Grateful Dead's archival release of "Sunshine Daydream: Veneta, Oregon 8/27/72" charted at #19, making it the first time since 1987 that The Dead have had a Top 20 record.

Looks like Phil got himself a new bass... another Ritter. 
This one is apparently dubbed "The Red Dragon" - I guess with Modulus out of business this shouldn't be too surprising, but I was really enjoying the way his latest Modulus/Meyer rig sounded.
