Competition stripe decal
Headstock decal.

Super update! Body primed and painted. Headstock is primed, painted, decal'd and clearcoated. I only have a pic of the headstock so far. I've decided to make it a passive bass and will be making my own PG, ala squier VM jaguar, but in a JJ format...and not tort. Also, I'm going for a stack knob setup.

the back of the body got another coat of paint. Waiting on that to dry, then the front will get another coat. Then maybe another coat, then clear. Then I gotta cut a pickguard and wait for the electronics to come in. Pics of the body soon.

cool. keep going. i've always found that if you just persevere, after you put in all the work, it's worth it.

Oh Don't know how much more paint you have to spray. But when you're doing metallics make sure while you spray to go in every direction possible from all angles. This randomizes the flake in the paint so you don't have lines,you get a uniform metallic.

Well, it's shaping up nicely.

First coat of clear applied to the back and sides of the body. I used the fender method and stuck a couple nails in the front in inconspicuous places and used that to keep the front off the ground.

Final clear applied. Waiting on stacknob setup and pickguard material.

Yeah, but I'm gonna let it dry a bit more first. And I gotta take pictures. The color shift is incredible.

Jordan, you're gonna see it first. You're my friend on facebook. I use facebook to multi upload. But, yeah. Neck is actually done and unmasked. I just gotta sand out the tuner holes a tiny bit, pound the bushings in and put the tuners on. Including a hipshot.
Then the pickguard material has to come in. Then I gotta make a pickguard. Then I gotta wire it up, and give it a setup, put the competition stripe on, and take tons of pics.
