Photoshop requests??

ooh, I have 2.

both Squier Vintage Modified Precision Tele bass body - no mudbucker, MM sweetspot pickup, black hardware and black pickguard.

The first - keep the sunburst finish but with the Geddy jazz neck.

The second - vintage white body, jazz neck, rosewood fb, and black peghead.

Not to steal the thread, but would anyone mind editing a picture for me?

I took this nice picture of my bass, but the fingerboard came out with a nasty, overexposed color that I hate! (I've got other pictures to demonstrate the proper color for the board.)

I'm thinking all you need to do is extract the fingerboard from the image, create a new layer with it, and then adjust the exposure/contrast/etc. for the layer to make it look better, however, I'm not sure if the strings will look off?

Anyone want to take a stab at it?
I would do it myself, but I don't have photoshop on my computer.

I'm no expert, but learning these things via trial and erro is sometimes fun. You don't need Photoshop for all these requests. I used the free, open-source alternative, called GIMP, here:

I did try a quick fix on line6man's pic, you can make it nicer by selecting the board but not the strings. I used the lasso selection tool, and then played w/ the color levels to satisfaction, here:

Hey if anyone is not too busy, I'm thinking of doing a modification on my Yamaha.

It's a RBX 270 J (Has the black headstock and J pickup) in black. Could some put a brown tortoise shell Precision pick-guard to fit in the bass, and also a MM (no exposed coils) style humbucker in the bridge (in place of the J pickup)? Also, the 3 knobs are all concentric and between the 2nd and 3rd knob there should be a mini toggle switch. Also, put in a, say a Gotoh bridge, in place of the standard one?

This will be greatly appreciated!
