Overdrive: 7:57 - 11:50

I should probably add that my basic "clean" tone includes a 1 octave up effect, to get an effect somewhat similar to that of an 8 string octave course bass, that I achieved via a TC Electronic Sub'N'Up Mini, with a custom Toneprint made with the Toneprint editor.

And this bass has now been converted to sort of a 4 string baritone slide guitar, having had the nut raised by a piece of wood glued in under the nut, and tuned in an open B tuning.

Also in other news I've got a new tenor bass, tuned in A standard tuning, strung with Elixir Nanoweb guitar strings, of the gauges .074 - .056 - .042 - .032.

A 28.5" scale, 24 fret, ESP/LTD B4JR bass, with a Basswood body, and Maple neck with a Rosewood fretboard, equipped with a reverse orientation EMG Geezer Butler P pickup:

Sounds phenomenal, especially played with a pick, but I don't have any recordings of it yet to showcase.

So I recorded a clip with this bass, alternating between finger plucking and playing with a pick (bare with me, it is not particularly well played and is just rather random noodling):


It is also now strung with Elixir Nanoweb guitar string of the gauges .068 - .052 - .038 - .028, still tuned to A standard tuning.
