Pick your favorite iconic car from any decade....

I have only ever seen one of these, back in the late 1980s, parked on a street in Westwood Village.

Mercedes SEC
I have an '82 380 rusting away in pieces in my folks garage that I was going to rebuild..... Someday. Now it's just a pebble in my shoe that I can't seem to get rid of

In 2004, I bought a '78 Mercedes Benz 450 SEL that was straight and clean but needed a few minor repairs to make roadworthy. It was my daily driver for the next 5 years.

Then I found a '74 SEL in about the same condition and made that car my daily driver so I could use the other car as a test vehicle for converting to an aftermarket programmable fuel and spark system and run on alcohol.

Of course that project bogged down about 2/3 of the way through after 3 years of mods. Then my daily driver started falling apart faster than I could fix it, and parts for a Mercedes Benz that's almost 40 years old are neither cheap nor easy to find.

Just a few months ago, I sold both cars for parts to a Mercedes collector - for $500.
