Picked up this P Bass a couple days ago . . .

It's a 1974 in very rare Strat-O-Burst finish . . . shoreline gold fading into candy apple red. Condition is very good over-all but it appears the pots and pickguard are not original. Interesting collectors piece anyway.

I found the color striking and its tone is just huge! Kind of an impulse buy . . . but I will probably clean it up, replace the pickguard, and repair the case (several split edges), and then sell it at some point.

I have a collection of vintage Ps but do not generally play them. My players are all more modern Ps, Js, and Stingrays.
