Pickguard poll - with pics!

My first "real" bass was a '78 Precision that I absolutely loved - white with a maple neck and a black pickguard. You know which way I voted.

With a maple neck, I'd probably go with gold or something lighter like white. I think dark colors like tort or black look better with a rosewood neck... although they certainly don't look bad with maple.

You can expect tort to win on this forum, but I voted black! The contrast just appeals to me, and it would look great in any situation, especially rock/punk. I like tort on sunbursts but that's about it. All that matters though is what you like.

They all look great, but gold, tort, black in order of personal preference - gold only getting the nod on tort because it's less common, otherwise it's a toss up 'tween those two.

I'd get one of each. Just wait for the deals to pop up.
