Picking a band name sucks

i like "the kicks", although i expect there are other bands with that name. i think off-kilter originals bands can have names like Argyle Gargoyle, but imo cover bands are better off with accessible names. again, that's only my opinion.

The Ride is my favourite from your list.
It is really tough when one of the criterion is that it has to be 100% original. With the internet and a big world becoming accessible, it's almost impossible that any decent name hasn't been taken. If you're just going to be playing covers in your immediate area, then all you have to do is ensure your not using the same name as an internationally acclaimed band.

I was passing by this thread when I heard the words DWEEB TWEEZER. That is all..
Picking a name is my least favorite part of playing in a band. By far.
I really like Mug Shot Mary (or Monday, whatever). That's a cool f***ing name.
Just pick one and be done with it. If you're a cover band and aspire to play better gigs(corporate, etc) keep it clean and marketable.
