Picking cabinets for a Mesa WD 800

I find this setup is my favorite, 800+ with 2 x Schroeder 12L's (20lbs each). if I ever need more add 2 more 12's @ 2ohms and I'm good. However I haven't found the need for more. Only reason I have 2 is to keep the head a little higher for adjustment if needed.

What about the 210 makes it your favorite? Seems like it gets the least amount of love on here, but I doubt everyone has the opportunity to try them all.

I'm on the fence between two 112 or the 210 is why I ask

The 115 and 112 were the original two cabs.

By the time the 210 was out the 112/115 setup had a well established reputation. The 210 has taken a bit longer to catch on, in part (i think) because people were already happy with the 12/15 setup and didn’t feel the need to experiment further.

I got a WD800 a few months back, and I can confirm you can't go wrong with the Subway cabs to go with it. However, from personal experience, I'd recommend taking a look into Barefaced, specifically the Two 10S. I play my WD800 through a Barefaced Two 10S, which is one of those marvelously light (~30lb or ~14Kg), sounds-way-bigger-than-it-looks kind of cab. I've used mine on everything up to medium sized outdoor venues, like small festivals in parks and such. Adding a second one would create a light and portable 4x10 setup, that could compete with a 4x12, or maybe even a 6x10 or 8x10. The Two 10S has a switchable impedance that can be set to 4 or 12. The WD800 will take a 2 Ohm load , so you can run the cabs at 4 ohms. I think it's a match made in heaven, and I recommend you take a look into them. They're a bit on the pricier side, but I'm convinced Barefaced cabs are the one you get that makes you not want any other cab.

I use a WD 800 with the Subway 212 when I need hi power and volume. It’s an amazing combination. I had a Barefaced Super Twin that I quickly unloaded.

For smaller shows I have a Fearless F112 and single 12” Bag End cabs. Both very different but both great. I flipped a Barefaced super a Compact cab for the Fearless F112 and am very happy. The F112 is an amazing cabinet.

Just keep in mind as Alex from Barefaced has stated, the Barefaced 10's are lower output drivers so the Two 10 is similar in output as a single high quality 12.

The Subway 12 and Barefaced Two10 are verrrrrryyyyy similar in output, weight, and price with the Subway being a little cheaper and in my direct experience, the Subway 12 handles the B string better and is a better made cabinet.

For the Subway I would rock 2 of the 115s. What a great cab.
That 215 cab is the sexiest new cab being made to me. I bet it thumps.
As I recall it weighs just under 60 LB. Not feather light, but very manageable. It thumps like a fridge. I have to watch the low end, the HPF is best invention since the wheel!

I've also played a Subway 112 + 115 stack and they do indeed blend fine. My cab of choice is currently Audiokinesis Hathor, but the lead times are rough. The Subway stuff holds it's own against whatever, it gets kind of subjective for these modern cabs. I just like the Subway 15 a tad better than the 12. It just seems a tad "creamier" whatever that means.
