Pickup advice

So I have this old P bass. it is currently gutted but it is routed for a P J configuration. I decided I want to get it going again.

I was thinking that I want a q tuner for the J pickup. I was thinking it would be cool to have an active EMG pickup for the P. Can you mix and match passive and active? That situation sounds Ideal because if the battery ever dies all I have to do is pan it back to the bridge pickup. Any better suggestions?

what do you think would be the best P pickup to go with a Q tuner. or in general?

The short answere is no. The two signals always cross at the jack and the active signal could ruin the other pickup. That being said it is possible if you were to wire them to two separate jacks and used two cables amd an amp with passive and active inputs. I would just get a nordy pj set

well, the active pickup won't physically "ruin" the passive one, it will just completely supplant it when they're run together, so you won't hear the passive one at all.
