Pickup replacements in G&L

Can you replace the pickups of a G&L SB-2 tribute with Seymour Duncan QP's?

Why those mfd's are amazing! but the sb2 is the p bass one right? the p bass pickup is standard p sized. The g&l j pickup isnt and will be hard to find a replacementt for.

It's the P/J one yeah. P body, J neck. Planning on getting it for my next bass. No real reason other than I'm wondering if it will be easy to do if the need ever hits me to try

If you think you'll want to replace the MFDs, I'd suggest you just get something else altogether - maybe build a USACG with custom neck specs to match what the SB-2 offers and standard pickup routes. Then you can swap to your heart's content.

G&L's and musicmans are basses you leave stock. They are amazing as is. Go ahead and mod fenders all you want but leave those amazing mfd's in that bass!

You could also just get any P-bass and add a G&L P-pickup. I have a few of them I plan to list in the Classifieds soon!
