FWIW, rope-core doesn’t mean it uses a a rope for the core.
Rope-core is braided steel core.
No problem using the SF with a mag pickup.

Actually IME Super Flexibles are actually not as easy playing as Spirocores, Evah Parazzi (unfortunately they are not usable with a Magnetic Pickup), or Perpetuals. Perhaps it's
because they only come one gauge. Just my take however. There are definitely stiffer strings out there.

So I made this using some old P bass pickups and it sounds amazing. I had to do some futzing to get the string balance perfect, but overall I am amazed! I have a Vic's model B , and am awaiting my HPF Model 2 and Caline 10 band eq and blend the 2 together.
