Pickups for custom bass

Hey, I'm building a bass in a month, and I cant decide on which pickups to use. This is my first bass and I'm really confused on the pickups, and the electronics actually. :hmm: I'm making a neck-through-body design and it will be made out of maple and a walnut body. I like playing slap a lot, if that helps.:)
Thanks in advance:smug::bassist:

for beasty highend slap sound i recomend a delano ceramic MC4FE it´s one of the most impresive pickups in combination with a split coil jazz alnico to give you a nice thumb pop sound and a audere or a retro deluxe
the new bartolini CB series are very impresive too and you have a very nice and agressive slaps...to me delano is the best option
