Pics of inside Ampeg cabinets?

P.S. click on the signal tab and set the input to 300 watts to see what you're dealing with as far as SPL and excursion, this is with a flat signal. Click on the eq/filter tab and set a wide eq centered at 60-80hz at anywhere between +3 to +10db to see the effect of turning up the bass knob. Look at your cone excursion/xmax after cranking up the bass. Click on the listening point thing and set it varying between 10 degrees off center to 45 degrees off center to see the effects of narrowed dispersion and comb filtering.

That is you okabass, I didn't even realize. Great job by the way and OP, this is what you want. Good pics, note the original SVT was essentially 4, 210 cabs all in one box. Those shelves that separate the different internal sections also act as bracing to keep the overall big box solid. The old squareback SVT that sedandad posted was the first incarnation of this box and had all 4 separate 210's being the same size. The latter versions had cutouts for wheels and a big handle to improve portability but I doubt any driver modifications were made. Hence the slight difference in tonality between the two. Old version has 4 equally sized larger boxes, newer version (as if mid-70's could be called new) has two larger boxes and two smaller ones because of the cutouts for handle and wheels. Bigger box = more bass, smaller box = less bass but with 8 10's and a 300 watt tube head you had plenty either way.

HI

Thanks!

Actually: I think the chambers are same size in the tiltback cab. The shelves distances from the top are c. 12,5"-11,5"-11,5"-12,5". That compensates the tiltback cut. (haven't calculated it, cause I haven't the exact measures here).
The chambers total size compared to the squareback is a bit smaller, 2 % or so. If I have this right, the sound difference (dependig of the size) should be minimal.
