Hi there
are there any pieces (preferably through IMSLP) what typically can be played by a smaller orchestra (say 8-12 players) that you recommend? The idea is that where the larger (community) orchestra breaks up for winter break, some people may find it beneficial to sharpen their skills by practicing other music, without necessarily needing the full orchestra to be there...
I am thinking, for example:
Mozart Serenade in c KV 388 “Nacht Musique”
Brandenburg concertos
Dvořák - Serenade for Strings in E major, Op. 22
(Almost) anything from the Baroque period
????
Thank you!
