And by pure coincidence, I recently rehoused my Brassmaster clone in a sparkly pink box. It looks like a giant piece of Bazooka!

My wife walked in on me while I was looking at the Boobmaster threads. I was telling her about what Josh was doing and she says, "Wow, that's really cool of him! I just like that it has a pink triangle on it though." I snarkily answered, "Well, they all have triangle on them," forgetting that she doesn't know about Malekko B:Assmasters....then she said, "Oh," gave me 'the look', and walked away. I guess I shouldn't have pulled the pedal elitist card on my wife, eh?

Little question, you said that you are keeping the Germ version and its going to be modded so it is more like the double germ... if it wasn't going to get modded which one would you keep?

I like the germ version better, that said I know the folks at Malekko prefer the silicon one better on bass. The silicon one is a little more brash and forward in the mix, the germ is a tad more subtle and smooth. It's really just a personal flavor issue, both serve their purpose and sound quite different, seek out the audio samples and let your ear guide you.

that's hawt, i would love to make my own brassmaster for ***** and giggles. i contacted josh to see if he will sell me a kit.

So why is it only with the Assmaster that you prefer "subtle and smooth"?

Myself, I always found the germanium version underwhelming. Not bad, but for that general sort of peachy fuzz, the $69 BBM has me covered.

The standard silicon version made me drool immediately. I had a shot at yours but the Boobies version has everything I could have hoped for. Expression mod? Expanded bass? Now THAT'S what I'm talking about.

Re-watched your Assmaster review... I hate to nitpick, but somebody as into effects as you are should learn to pronounce silicon
