I those with pitchfactors:
I just recently bought one. I have a Roland EV-5 I'm trying to use as my expression pedal. For some reason it is not working though. Is there anything I need to do to calibrate it or something? Any help would be awesome.

Read the manual and watch the videos. The answer is in there. You have to set the pedal up for expression use and calibrate it. It is plug in play, but you can make it dedicated expression only..

It's in that manual though. Also, make sure you set it up to track bass.

Not being familiar with the EV-5, are you using the right cable? The PF will work with both TRS and TS cables, but the EV may need a TRS. My Boss exp pedal can use both but I got mixed results using a standard TS (mono) cable. I switched to a TRS (stereo) cable and all was good.

The PF does not like the Moog EP-6 BTW, FWIW.

I've read the manual, but still don't get it. I've set the source to bass as well. I've tried setting the toe and heel positions but haven't had luck with that either.

In my experience, the PF doesn't like the EV-5. Eventide recommends the Ernie Ball 25K Volume pedal (you can read more on the PF FAQ section of their site) which I used and it works perfectly.

Looks like I'll have to try an EB. Will the jr. Ones work? Anyone know?

I'll try it. I'd prefer to use my EV-5. I used it with my line 6 M9 with no problems, so I know it works. I'll let y'all know the outcome soon.

Ok. I moved the dial on my EV five from 10 to 0. Then the expression pedal started working. The problem is it only goes from 0 to 88. If I put the dial on three it will go to 97. I think now I just need to get a different expression pedal at this point...

try reprograming the expression control on the patch. Move the expression pedal to heel down and then quickly (as the LED blinks) move the knob you want to control to where you want the heel position to be. Then move the expression to toe, then (as the LED blinks) move the expression to where you want the toe to be. This will calibrate it to the EV-5. I hate to say it... but you need to read the manual. ;)
