When I was in Boston in the late 1970s, I loved going to Pooh's Pub. One of my favorite acts was Randy Roos, with his stainless steel fretless guitar. This tune is from his album Mistral, with Mike Stern also on guitar, and Neil Stubenhaus on bass. Platypus starts at the 5:20 point in this youtube of the entire album.

Can't find Mistral for a decent price. How is Primalvision? That one is readily available.

I converted my old LP to MP3 a few years back. I didn't even know it was available in CD form, and I was surprised to find the youtube of the entire album.

No wonder it's so difficult to find. I'm surprised at the number of LPs that never were released on CD. Thanks to youtube, many seem available that way.

Neesh was another difficult find (Mike Stern's debut). I bought a digital download...last year, I lucked out and found a used cd at dustygroove for $20.

Geez...Mistral cd just arrived! Now that's quick delivery via Ebay.

Also in the mailbox was Bill Connors' Step It & Larry Coryell Eleventh House's 2nd album.
