Play me something on your bass

Some improv slap lines in Bb. If feel like showing off to a guitarist I play the chords to familiar songs above the 12th fret (I have 24 on my main player), just to bug them and prove that nobody needs guitarists if the bassist knows how to use the full range of the instrument.

Aww c'mon folks !! It's all about guess that t.v. show.

+1 lol!

I learned the Imperial March just for this occasion

I like that idea too!

Stuff to have ready if something goes wrong:
1) The "Tuba Jingle" when someone loses on The Price is Right.
2) The "wa. wa. wa. waaaa..." Everyone's heard it before but I don't know what it's called or how else to describe it.

Oh, but seriously... One tune I do like to play when people ask is RHCP Mellowship Slinky in B Major. It's got a nice groove to it.

Gone are the days when I try to impress.....especially in a music store.

But since you asked.....the last time I tried out a bass I was just doing, whatever, (nothing fancy, I assure you) when I looked up and noticed two boys with thier dad smiling as I was playing. Since they were listening I proceeded to play a little piece that I wrote which is kind of a happy sounding thing. They really enjoyed it.

Wasn't trying to impress. Just figured since they're listening I'll play something for them that's "me."
