Played an Ashdown tonight

It's not my style but for rock and metal with just a bit of edge I think it's great and priced nicely too!

What model 610 did you get? Don't worry about if slap in not necessarily your style. I have the CL610 and it does sound good while slapping. A very solid and all around cab.

And I've been using the ABM EVO 500 for over a decade. And no matter what genre, it sounds good.

Hey man - not sure of the exact model. Looks exactly like this, but states 900w RMS on the panel on the back, not 800...

For two years I've been using a MAG 250 head through a MAG 410 for my louder gigs (I believe the MAG 250 was the last run of MAG's to be made in England - it was replaced with the 300). With my fretted/fretless jazz basses and some pedals, it has wonderful punch and midrange - definitely a 'vintage' kind of tone, but very defined and clear. I've used it for every kind of music imaginable, and I've always had good results.

The only downside is the weight of the cab - its like 60 lbs or so.
