Played my first SVT with 810 last night

V4Bs are considerably lighter than SVTs already.

Yeah, I was unimpressed the first time I played an SVT-VR, so I played at modest volumes. Tried a Traynor YBA-200, and my bandmates swore I sounded much better than with my hybrid head. After I got used to the tube thing, I went back to try another SVT, and my appreciation of it changed completely. It was mind-blowing, there's no going back!

8x10s are pretty beastly cabs for sure, I would chalk a LOT of that experience to the cab though. Your Traynor YBA200 is essentially a lightweight SVT (I SOOOO KICK MYSELF for selling mine off) and will really shine when played through a big cab like an 8x10 or a 2x15's. I am a DIY'er so the 2x15 stokes my fire since the speakers are cheaper to replace in one of those and I still feel I get a ballsy vintage tone out of them. IMHO, if you pair a good tube head (your Traynor, an Ampeg SVT, Orange AD200B, etc) with an 8x10 or 2x15 cab then you can't go wrong, unless you plug one of these into it....

Welcome to the Club! Nothing quite like it! Funny thing about the "Gods" comment, We tried my SVT head in the music store and my work buddy said "that thing sounds like Zeus Farting!! lol!!!

He meant that in a good way!!! lol!

The cab is a great part of the equation. I brought my BT500 to a rehearsal studio that had an ampeg 8x10 bottom and an old crusty GK head. The BT500 and 8x10 sound was ENORMOUS! I was able to stand about 20 feet from the cabinet. The sound didn't emanate from the cabinet....it occupied the whole room.

No way I'd do that. 410 and 115 are a mismatch. There's a reason why the cab Ampeg tried to make with a 410 and 115 built together got discontinued pretty rapidly and the 810e lives on. If you get anything, get another identical 410.
