Not much to go on but it looks like basswood to me.

basswood was my first guess. Agathis is second, Third is beech

I agree with everyone with the addition of "not that there is anything wrong with that". Basswood is an excellent wood for instruments; it's just not a sexy wood to the eye.

Basswood body of my Squier looks exactly the same.

If it's agathis, you'll find that your strap buttons will back out or strip because it's so soft. It looks like basswood, though.
