By router mark i mean the dot that all G&L's have (before they switched their routing system) which they changed i believe early 2010. Sorry for the small pics but that was the best i could. I just bought it off ebay for a good price (not thatt good lol) ive just always been weary about ebay. But i have a feeling its real because all the correct decals are their and it has an appropriate serial (i dont think counterfiters would go that far on a fake)

Counterfeiters generally focus on well known brands like Fender and Gibson.

It sounds to me like you should do your homework before buying.

Thanks for your opinions guys, ill post better pics when i get it this week. I bought it from a guy who just buys guitars and flips them so i got it for 1200 which there is one new at guitaradoptions.com for 3700 so it was a good price

Why bother Faking a Modern G&L?

Why not do something that would rake in more money?

Like a older Fender, or Gibson, or Mosrite or something.

To me, faking a G&L is like counterfeiting a $1 bill....

Well, yes, but the problem is they are already "faked" namely the Tribute line. And the Tribute line is so good that about the only way you can tell if it's a real USA bass is if it's drop-dead gorgeous. My Trib and USA are both excellent basses but all it takes is one quick look at the wood grain to see which is which. (I doubt you could tell the difference from the sound... well in my case one is fretted and one is fretless, but I mean if they both were fretted)

Yeah, I think that was a major score.

#1! It does amuse me that there is underground Asian production, that is faking legit Chinese made Epiphone instruments; already a budget brand, and the Epi Les Paul guitars in particular. Go figure that one out. As far as fake G & Ls go, I don't think even these counterfeiters are that ambitious yet to crack the niche market for G & L instruments.
