I am currently selling my svt 5 pro head. I already sold my 4-10 and now selling my 1-15 as well. Its 3 heavy pieces of equipment and was never super crazy about it. I like the warmth, but was too big and not as punchy in my opinion as some others. I'm not playing out in a rock band at the moment, but want something to be loud enough when I get back into action. I have a 5 string Marcus Miller Fender, and a Kay 1950 upright bass with Realist pickup. I guess if somehow possible, get light small gear, but get the rock sound of Muse, punchy warmth of Brazilian Girls, and upright tone that doesn't feedback and would sound best for Jazz, or rock/jazz mixture and for Kay. Can I get everything Im looking for with the Euphonic Audio doubler? Its only 650 watts. I haven't got to try any equipment, except a mark bass800 head and 4 10 cab. I did like the sound of it. But the EA head, has 2 inputs that switch from upright to electric. Plus feedback notch filter. I have been drooling over the Aguilar White hot bass amps. I played out of Aguilar 2 12 before and liked it. But granted never plugged in a Ea Doubler into a Aguilar Db 2 10 or 2 12 cab. But it looks and sounds like something I might like. Is 2 10 enough power? How does the head sound and is that enough power? I figure you usually get mic'd up anyway. Smaller amps have more clarity. But will I miss something power wise? I know I should try these things first, but there not sold anywhere near me. I figure I could get extended warranty to send back if I don't like it. Is there a way to go from heavier ambient rock, to dance to Jazz? Small 3 piece upright gig to large distorted bass gig? I know I said a lot, thanks for you help!
