Please include in your prayers

Thank you all for the prayers and additional good vibes.

She's going to be alright. She somehow lost control of the vehicle when it fishtailed, that subsequently sent her slamming into the side of a cliff at about 35-40 mph, which in turn caused her to get a broken arm/leg and ribs, fractured vertebrae, whiplash, and a concussion. She wasn't wearing her seat belt either so she's very lucky to be alive.

I wish I could still be up there with her but unfortunately, I had to fly back down to Florida this morning because of responsibilities that I have here, primarily work and school. I cannot afford the extended time off from work and since I didn't give my professors ample notice some of them will not reschedule mid term exams for me. Fortunately, she understands that and even more fortunate that she's in good hands and will be well taken care of while up there, so I won't have to worry about her well being.

Again thank you all for your support.

Whew. Good to hear. I'm sure you already told her about the seatbelt thing. Thanks for the update dude. :)

Great news man...sorry you couldn't stay, but totally understandable.

This is going to sound quite crappy on my part, though I do wish I was there with her, there is also a part of me that is kind of glad to be back. That town has absolutely nothing to do or offer and its big time hillbilly/redneck. I definitely do not blend there, not to mention her parents do not like me one bit and made it quite clear. (again)

*whew* I saw this thread come up and feared the worst. Not to minimize the injuries, but it's a relief to hear she's going to be OK. Best wishes to her for a speedy recovery.
