I consider my earlier post a more accurate example of Burgundy Mist, but the mfrs of the 3 basses on the left call the colors you see here Burgundy Mist.

If it was LPB I'd have no issues, but I'm struggling a bit with the color. This would be my last bass (unless I sold something). I've been narrowing it down to a fretted MM/J or a fretless, and I found a fretless version of the MM/J I was looking at - just in Sire burgundy mist metallic.

Well, the BMM bass I was looking at sold, which is kind of a relief. It was a Sire Z7 fretless and I'm hoping they get more fretlessessess.

I'm awaiting a Precision body with dual Jazz Bass pickups.

I'm a precision fan who hates Jazz Bass Bodies but understands that they have a sonic purpose!

It's getting a Warmoth Neck and an MJT body.

Burgundy Mist is such a cool finish with lotsa versions out there. Here's another version of BM as found on the (discontinued) D. Lakin basses. Darker, with a hint of copper and less purple/lilac, depending on lighting. I like it as much as the original Fender version.

Fender's BM on this FSR, as it would have looked circa '63 (except with a greeny white guard).
