FWIW, acronyms just create more confusion IMO. Even the smartest people that are a part of a specific industry cannot keep up with them. FYI, the time it takes to explain what an acronym means consistently far exceeds the supposed time benefit of using them. TBH, they only reduce efficiency. No need to LOL at this thread, plus IDC because its my POV.

Anyway, GTG, TTYL.

To be clear, it's only an acronym if the initials make a word you can pronounce.
Otherwise, I think you're more hoping people stop with the initialisms or simply abbreviations.

Acronyms make a phrase, not a word.

Anyway, I find them to be a constant thorn in my side. Maybe the people that use them think they are cutting edge or whatever. In the end, they make everything harder from a business perspective.

NIIOMTPLABOPARMBETZHELBETRABSBOMONIMONKONOTDTEKHSTROMONT

The world's longest acronym, according to the Guinness Book of World Records is NIIOMTPLABOPARMBETZHELBETRABSBOMONIMONKONOTDTEKHSTROMONT (Russian: Нииомтплабопармбетжелбетрабсбомонимонконотдтехстромонт). It is 56 letters long (54 in Cyrillic).
WWT?

I'm not sure what you mean by this. An acronym is pronounced as a word (C-SPAN, SCUBA) while an initialism is not (PTA, HOV).

Anyway, now that this is on my RADAR I'll go AWOL from this thread and leave TBOT awhile to LOL at some cat videos on YT.

How'd I do?
