Hey Guys. I'm running my upright through a K&K double bass twin pickup and the K&K preamp. It runs through a GK 800RB head and a Peavey 410TVX cab. Nothing else. But my plugged sound is crap. It sounds like.. I can't even begin to tell you how crappy it is. Unfortunately when I toggle with the EQ on the GK and I turn my the bass up It gets feedback so bad the room shakes. None of the transistors (I think that's what they are called... the pads on the pickup that go under the bridge) are touching anything but the bridge.. and it only happens when the bass is turned up pretty high.. even at low volumes. I think if I am able to turn the bass a bit up it would help a great deal bringing some nice tone through the bass. Does anybody have any suggestions? Thanks!
