Poll: Best technical bassist

I just posted this below because I realized my intention was not at all clear. I don't mean "Who is objectively the best technical among all bassists" :

The sample is limited to those bassists whom I both really like and find technical.
I'm just curious because I'm not a technical bassist, nor am I usually attracted to technical musicians in general. I'm more fond of a minimalist, feel/groove approach to music. (Just a matter of taste: not a judgment.) I know a lot of TBers highly value technique, so I was curious to see others' opinion on this.

Not many votes thus far, but I'm happy to see JPJ leading. He's, in my mind, and among my personal bass heroes, the one who marries technique with soul in the most accomplished manner. Whereas I've always spontaneously loved his music and kind of discovered how much of an accomplished musician he is later, it's the opposite with the others : They impressed me with their technique long before I started appreciating their music.

IMO technical means comprehensive knowledge of theory plus the ability to play anything convincingly and be creative with note choices.
Cats like Victor Baliey, Jeff Berlin, Jaco, Manring et al fit this bill.

Technique is a different ball game.
