Poll: Delay... After Reverb?

I have always, and I mean ALWAYS, put reverb after delay. Even when running multiples of both I cannot think of a time I wanted to delay the reverb. But apparently, this is a thing.

Am I missing something here?

I’m not sure how the boss rv3 is... is it reverb into delay? It’s the only o dal I have both in / never done both the same time, just seperate... I’d assume the boss is reverb after delay so it sounds more natural?

I always run my reverb before the delay, but that's because I don't run delay and verb at the same time and if anything I want it in front since my delay doubles as a looper and sometimes I want some loops wet and some dry.

9 times out of 10 ...or perhaps even 98 times out of 100 ...I want reverb after delay.

But if you have the option of re-configuring their order on the fly, do that. Because that 1-out-of-10th time you may blow your mind at how cool it can sound.

I like both for, guess it depends on if you want to hear more delay or reverb

Reverb should always be last in your chain because it's purpose is to mimic playing in a certain space. If it were natural reverberation created by the room you're playing in, it would, of course, come after all of your other effects.
