well my vote just put ampeg ahead,but i must agree with ram ebs stuff is SLAMMING U got to try the fafner head with the 4'10 cab man it is so so PHAT.

I voted for Ashdown, but I guess not to many of our members have tried or owned one yet.
In the past I have owned Mesa Boogie, Hartke, Ampeg - SV2 & SV3, Marshall, Accoustic, Trace Elliot, Fender & Musicman heads.
So far for me, the Ashdown wins, and the worst was a 90's Marshall, although the Marshall Superbass 100w I had in the 70's was excellent.
Still impressed with my Hartke 3500 which I have kept for backup.

Write in for Eden and Bag End. I just got a single 15" Bag End and it is nothing short of phenominal.

When you play through an Ampeg SVT-2 PRO & an SVT 810, You don't need anything else. That's my opinion. 
Out of all I've tried (not so many) I rank Ampeg first, followed closely by Eden (sorry, but ther's nothing like an SVT)
I dig SWR and Ampeg Heads. Ampeg has my tone. May not be yours, but it about kills me! I love it. I'm getting (Pretty sure) an Ampeg B2R to go with my New Ampeg SVT810E. I know, only 350w in an 8x10, but It's my comprimise between power/quilty/and price.

the poll can have 10 options max. I would have listed agular, hartke, carvin, and eden, but i have personal issues with them. I listed the ones on the top of my head. I regret not putting up musicman, but not eden, hatke, carvin, or aguilar.
EDEN,EDEN, EDEN, EDEN,EDEN,EDEN, EDEN, - they are the best - there are at least a dozen people on this board who have said before that Eden are their favourites and I know loads of pros who use them. You just cannot leave them out of any poll - it just makes a mockery of it!

There's no David Eden, that's a myth. But the real guys (forgot his/their name(s)) at least designed some SWR cabs/speakers.

His name is David Nordschow. You're right, JMX, a lot of people think there is a "David Eden."
The way I got it is that Nordschow was in business as Eden Electronics before SWR making PA cabs. When Steve Rabe started SWR, his company had Eden's company build some of the first Goliath cabinets on a "origninal equipment manufacturer/OEM," basis. After a while, this relationship ended and SWR and Eden became competitors for our $$$.
Okay, an admission...I voted for Ashdown, but only because I wanted to see the results...I don't really vote for Ashdown. In fact, that takes Ashdown from 4 votes to 3. And, with Peavey, Fender, and Sunn only receiving 2 votes each, I really need to question the validity of not having EBS, which received 3 or 4 votes above; Glockenklang, which is known widely as the finest audiophile grade bass amp made; Eden, which is clearly receiving a huge piece of the pie; Aguilar, which most people around here seem to believe is even better than EBS, and so forth!

I voted GK cause that's what I use but my favorite wasn't on the list--Polytone-- at least for almost all of the gigs that this old man plays these dayz.
