I voted “Other” because I have 50-105 D’Addario XL Nickels and Chromes on two (most) of my basses. I also have 45-105 Rotosound 77s on one bass.

I tune to D Standard, so I need heavier strings to stay in tune. I’m even thinking about trying 55-110 XL Nickels because they’re similar in tension to 50-105 Chromes.

I use to be a super light guy going 30 to 95, then gave 40 to 100 but ultimately went to 45 to 100, I am may be really wrong here but I feel like it depends also if its flats vs rounds, rounds generally I go lighter and flats I may go up a size. It depends also on brand for me I like light for me but all depends on bass, type of string, and neck of bass. But I went light for a bit enjoyed them a light and help me get use to standard or at least a bit light. Again depends on brand some brands do not even offer super light D'addario spoil me with all the choices.
