Hi, I've been using a tc electronics polytune stomp box with my cort A4 active bass in my set up for about 18 months without incident. It's a very solid pedal and easy to read in smokey dark bars. Last night, something bizarre happened in the third song of our set. The pedal turned on by itself. Of course, this is very bad because it completely cuts the signal going to the amp. The first time it happened i moved over to the pedal and wondered if it was possible that i accidentally hit it, but it wasn't. Then, to be careful, I hovered over it for the next minute watching it as I played and it literally just turned on by itself. This has never happened to me before and I have no clue what could have happened. My batteries in my bass and pedal were both brand new, and my cable is a professional grade custom-made thing of beauty that I've never had issues with either.
My only thought is that somehow the vibrations in the stage somehow made it click in. Any ideas?
