Poor Man's b15 build

A couple of weeks ago I ran across a b15N in guitar center. The first time I have played one. Loved the tone, Loved it. But no way I could afford it, so I decided to make a cab to go with my PF 500. I am building this as economically as possible and if it comes out okay I'll build another out of better materials.

I coincidentally bought 2 matching CTS 15s from TB, so I wanted to try a comparison of two identical cabs, one is a double baffle and one is sealed. The sealed cab was easy and came out fine and sounds great. The double baffle was a challenge, though. Much thanks to Vintage Blue and Jimmy M for their awesome and informative threads regarding the b15s. I'll finish putting it together tomorrow. Here's the pics.

Finished up today, it was a good experience. I'm not 100% satisfied with the double baffle, though. It actually sounds better without the outer baffle. I don't think there is enough space in between the baffles since I mounted the speaker on the outside because which makes the speaker buzz when I dig in. There is a distinctive difference between the two cabs. The sealed cab is significantly clearer and the ported cab has way more thump. Both cabs together sound HUGE! I haven't recorded before, so I can't make any promises.

Yeah, you have to rear mount the speaker in the double baffle for sure. I'm 100% sure that's what's causing the rattle. OTOH, the second baffle isn't really necessary IMHO. All it really does is direct the lows from the port slots to in front of the speaker.
