Hi Guys,
i have this annoying popping sound when i play a b on the d string and only when its a short hard punched note.
I dont think its the speakers cos in every other way there fine, so i wondered if it might one the pick ups i use? i use a fairly new underwood blended with an old style foil realist through a headway pre into an iamp 800. I do use a padded cable with the realist so as to not overload the preamp.
I am thinking maybe its the piezo element in the realist that is the culprit, since it has sometimes been kind of crackly before. Though when i try each pickup on its own it seems ok only when i use them both together?
Thoughts?
