Double Bass Portable Mic preamps for AKG C411?

Hi everyone, I'm enjoying my AKG c411 mini contact mic on my bass, but unfortunately it uses phantom power, so i'm stuck with my AI Coda ;)(which sounds good BTW).

But I would like to try the c411 with my other amps, and be able to use it on tour without dragging the AI around... so suggestions for portable (battery powered?) mic preamps anyone?

O sheesh, they sound cheap too! Warranty might be good, but failure during a performance is unacceptable, wouldn't you agree?;) Lots of considerations: budget vs, performance......Aim higher than the ART or Presonus if you are a working professional, and plan to use the piece more than a short period of time, IMHO. Do carry an extra of the Presonus or ART to cover your AS***. Good luck.

The other thing I found with the cheap preamps (specifically ART) is the tubes that ship with them are cheap. They pickup interference easily. I tried an ART in my studio and it was unusable due noise. You can upgrade the tube (which takes care of the problem) but then your 'crazy cheap' unit is not so cheap anymore.

If you need just the phantom power and xlr out for your AKG 411 you could use this one (also battery powered)
