Portable rig

Just introduced myself in the right thread. I play a 6 string ibanez with fanned frets wich i like a lot. I am playing two bands, every week one rehearsel with one band and about 20 gigs a year. Both bands have a small pa wich is good for what we do. I am not a gear freak and what is is good. I play two heavey 15 inch combos ( one is nearly sold ). I really dig tc electronics. I saw one guy playing a bh800 with 2 rs210 and man that was real good. Thinking of buying this but i also was thinking a step smaller. A bh550 with 2 bc208. Would you guys think i will work. Rehearsing with one and gigging with 2 bc208. Unfortunately its hard in holland to test them in shops.

Anyone experiences with above
I got a BC208 to go with my TC Electronic bass head and so I don’t have to take my K210 to small gigs but BC208 buzzes on the top speaker. Have contacted TC Electronic but heard nothing yet...

I think it would do fine with the small rock gigs I do as we DI the bass into the PA for a big sound. The BC208 would just be acting as a monitor.

Two cabinets (rs210) stacked vertically is an EXCELLENT way to go. And yes, get the bigger amp head. The added headroom will make playing live a lot of fun. I suggest getting the exact rig you heard - if you can't try anything out beforehand, at least you will not be disappointed. Remember, you can always turn down your rig. If it is too loud at a show or two, you can always leave the two cabs stacked and disconnect the bottom one. You will hear yourself just fine and likely make the sound man much happier.
