Wow....You must have one heck of a photo rig.

Hah, nope. Just put an old Olympus 350 digital camera on a decent mid level consumer telescope. I did have to make a sun filter for the telescope and fiddle with focus, that was about it. There's an attachment for the telescope viewfinder where I can just slip the camera on and off easily.

Here's what the "rig" looked like, with my helper...

I've always loved this one. But if the flat earth society and moon landing deniers are right, than this is a bunch of hooey.

What's 'amazing' is that one day going to the moon will be like going down the street. People in the future will laugh at us for thinking that a picture of Earth taken from the moon is 'amazing'.

:D

Pale Blue Dot is my favorite photograph of all time. Gives me shivers every time I see it.

I looked it up in wikipedia and it shows the photo as a vertical rather than a horizontal. I like the horizontal better. It's funny to think that neither is technically correct as there is no up or down in space and I suppose there's no horizon in this case to either.

EDIT: I just showed this pic to my mother and she said, "Wow!!! We're nothing!" I said, "We're not nothing. We're just small from far away."
