I'd say a Bass Driver DI or MXR M80 DI would fit quite nicely up there

I'm currently using two 1-Spots. One runs the VT, BBM, 105Q, Pitch Black and the LS-2 which powers the M80. The other powers the X2. Those run off a Furman SS6B with the M9's power supply as well. The PP2+ appeals to me because I can plug everything into it. Cutting out the need for both 1-Spots and the Furman. Plus having an isolated output for each pedal would help cut down on hum at the dive bars.

If you're lookign for a cheaper PP2+ type power supply and don't mind not having the plug in the back look at the BBE Supa Charger. I got mine for $90 new and it's great.

Popped into GC on Friday and they had a PT1 with the Hardcase for 99 bucks! Couldn't resist, and now I can have the M9, Multiwave and the VP Jr laid out without having to change the orientation of the Multiwave. Thinking about adding a Groove Regulator and the footswitch for the RH450 and removing the flipster and crossdrive. I just don't find the use for them. Not that I need an envelope filter for my band, but I am really dissatisfied with the envelope filter patches on the M9. Maybe I just don't know how to dial them in, but so far I can't figure out how to make them sound good for bass.

I just remember getting really excited about it when they were first announced, (checking out the demos etc.) and when I got my hands on one I simply couldn't think of any way to use it in a way that didn't scream "pay attention, people, effects are happening!"

But hey, if you've got one and you dig it, more power to you.

How are the new Source Audio Distortions?

They are awesome! I got my pro version yesterday and am loving it, I've never sounded so synth-like! It is extremely tweak-able so it took me a while to find what I was looking for but once I did its been a lot of fun!

You can setup some typical overdrives and low gain distortions on the single band side (they sound quite good actually) but it shines in the synth realm, which is the appeal to me.

If you are interested in Source Audio for more typical sounding distortions check out the bass modded Classic Distortion Pro. It wasn't initially intended for bass but they made some tweaks to the firmware that made it more bass friendly.

I cannot recommend Source Audio highly enough. All around SA is an excellent company in terms of customer service and catering to it's customers even if it is only catering to a few of us.
