Those are Cold Cathode lights, you can get them at most (I got mine at MicroCenter) computer stores, they're made for computer case and back lighting and are 12volt.
I think they were around 10 $ for a pack of two 4" tubes and the inverter, which you have to run off of some kind of 12volt DC power supply.
The ones in the guitar board picture (there's another one one other side of the board that you can't see) are running on a 12volt .500ma output wallwort that I just spliced the wires together from the wallwort supply to the inverter.
The brand of the lights is LOGISYS.
Be carefull around AC power!!!!!:) If you try it. Just a disclaimer.
 
Not at all, the LED's I picked up at MicroCenter for around 6 or 7 dollars apiece, I think the brand was Logisis? They're made for computer case/accent lighting and are 12volt.
The switch I bought years ago from RadioShack. That one is just a 12volt automotive switch, but I think almost any kind of toggle switch will work.
The lights, the switch and some wire, it's pretty cheap as long as you don't mind losing a spot on your PedalPower for lights.
Oh and the 9volt/12volt switch on the pedalpower works like a dimmer switch.:p

Ahh BRILLIANT! I was thinking there might be a clever application for some of the random stuff around at microcenter. Thanks for proving such! When I get settled on a final construct of my pedalboard (will be based around a Line 6 M9 or M13) I will definitely be working something similar to this into it at least as a setlist light of some sort.

go back to page 42 and check out what i did. I used UV LEDS right on pedalboard's side and over the M13. Write with a highlite miarker an voila !

10 UV leds
10 150 ohms resistors
1 switch

Circuit 2
3 UV leds
3 150 ohms resistors
1 switch

i used an old 6v cell phone power supply to connect everything to the outlet.

Works great.
