My latest. Hopp and Friends. Live music, all night. No breaks. Each band member will take turns doing a solo acoustic set while others take a break. We also have guest appearances and showcase new, upcoming bands. Very unique!
Up until recently, yes. My buddy Dale (with the Rogue Hofner copy) and I would switch off between bass and percussion duties, with me playing bass about 2/3 of the time. We just made a few changes this year, and are actually now a 7 member band so I will handle all bass duties going forward (Dale will either play percussion or guitar, whatever is necessary of a particular song.)

It's great to see so many bass players actually playing in bands, with a wide variety of age, experience and talent. When I first joined TalkBass (16 years ago) I wondered if anyone actually played out. Maybe I was just looking in the wrong threads, but I dismissed the forum for years.
While debating gear is fine, and sometimes very useful, I enjoy reading the posts of the gigs and seeing the pics of real bands gigs. Special thanks to BassCliff for showing us how to properly document a gig, and to dbase for rating our posts.
So, everyone keep on playing, having fun and posting your gigs!

Got it straight from the factory...brand new.
A band I was in used to play at the Guild Christmas parties every year when they were in Westerly. At the time, I was playing a short scale Gibson EBO and the guitar player played a Gibson ES135(?).
I had friends that worked there and they preferred we played Guild instruments so, they would provide us brand new, factory fresh guitars to play for the evening.
Since they couldn't sell it as new and I had friends that worked at the factory, I was able to buy it direct from Guild as a demo in 1994.
Been my go-to ever since....it truly is a workhorse.
A trio I play with because my main band only plays once a month.

I would except for the fact that the band I've been playing with for the last year and a half doesn't have a band picture. Oh, and we've never rehearsed, either.
