This thread is awesome - so cool to put faces with names.
I'm on a work computer and I'm limited to whatever photos are on my phone - mostly just camera shots taken by my GF and sent to me.
Here's one from the Chattanoogan Hotel earlier this year. For anybody who follows the series Nashville, you can catch our lead player (far right) on the first few seasons of that show. Just look for the bald dude. He's gigged with more names than I can count - Allmans, Charlie Daniels, Marshall Tucker, over a decade with Confederate Railroad, Col. Bruce Hampton - long list. Amazing player and we're fortunate to have him around. Sax player was a founding member of the group LTD, made plenty of appearances on Soul Train, and has toured/recorded with The Temptations, The Impressions, L L Cool J, MC Hammer, Sam and Dave. He is an absolute kick to play with. He spends most of his time in Florida caring for his mother, but has a home in north GA and gigs with us whenever he's in town.
Oktoberfest a few weekends ago...gave me an excuse to break out the SVT and bathe in bass...
Wedding over the summer where we were packed like sardines into a corner (mercifully, the one with shade):
Puckett's in Chattanooga, a smaller version of the one in Nashville (great eats at both!) Substitute guitarist on this gig, monster slide player with a nice list of creds that included some work with the Allman Bros. That '58 Strat of his sounds unbelievable!
Shot that somebody asked for while our singer was elsewhere getting paid:
The "morning after" breakfast in Murphy, NC - gig the night before! My kid and GF were along for this one. Gotta love some Waffle House:
Cutting up a little at a gig in Dalton, GA:
...and this was sort of cool. There was an impromptu Confederate Railroad reunion at an Elk's Lodge gig we played earlier in the summer. I can't remember what year our lead player (white shirt) left the band, but he was replaced by Rusty Hendrix (black shirt, right). Later, Mo Thaxton (big dude on the left) was added, also on guitar. They were getting ready to embark on a tour but for whatever reason, their bus wasn't pulling out until midnight. So they came and caught a couple sets, and then got up and played with us for one. Very guitar-intensive night, great jams! I'm way in the background, either wrapping a cord or picking a hangnail...who knows.

Good call. We usually do an after-gig breakfast (before going to bed actually)... either Waffle House or IHOP.
The one I posted upthread is the cover band I'm in. This one below is from a while ago with the originals band (some lineup changes since then with this band too, most notably the addition of a lead guitar).
Found this gem from 1991. My old band's poster. I was literally almost 80lbs heavier then.
Well, for one thing the thread just asked for pictures of our bands, not professional photography of our bands. That leaves it open for people to share whatever shot they want.
But I think also the thing is that there are all kinds of bands. If you're putting together a serious wedding/function band the marketing is everything and you'd better have top-notch promotional materials. If you're an originals garage band with stars in your eyes maybe you'll get a professional shot done when you start getting out of the garage and getting some traction, earlier there's no point.
A lot of the time you have a cover band practicing Thursday nights and after a couple months you get a gig at a local dive bar... then another... six months or a year later you're starting to have a pretty regular schedule and you start thinking, "hey, maybe we should get some decent pictures done." Or maybe you're getting all the gigs you wanted anyway without professional pics, just on personal relationships and word of mouth, and don't feel the need for any more. But also, a lot of those bands fall apart after six months or a year, maybe never gigging or just playing three gigs, and dropping hundreds of dollars on a professional photographer would have been a waste.
I posted three earlier - one was literally just a cell phone selfie of the group and it looks like it. Of the other two, one was shot by a waitress after a gig, the other by my daughter at an outing for the purpose. They were hardly professional shoots but I thought the results worked great for the kind of thing we were doing.
Not my band per se - but I've been in the house band at the Atlas Cafe in the SF Mission for 20 frikkin' years.... Can't understand where the time goes and can't believe I've survived this crazy, expensive place for this long... This shot was snapped last night at our monthly Thursday Jam.....

I think WH was conceived to have a post-gig pedigree like no place else; plus, they're on every other block and they never close! I lived for a couple years in northern Mississippi and the jukebox at our closest establishment still had all the truly timeless stuff, like I've Got Raisins In My Toast and about 20 more that must have been specifically written for Waffle House.
With songs like that, greasy hash browns, and wait staff standing five feet from the cooks and shouting dine-in orders like drill sergeants - SCATTERED! SMOTHERED! COVERED! DROP AND GIVE ME FIFTY! - I mean, what's not to love?

Just noticed the rythm guitarist jumping off stage as he had technical difficulties and was trying to find out what the source was . It took him over an hour and everyone was pretty miffed by the time he got it fixed !
